Q: How will I know my dog is happy?A: I will take photos / video of your dog on the walk so you can see how they have got on. If you are happy for me to do so, I will also share these on social media. I will be 100% honest and upfront with you if there are any issues or I feel your dog is demonstrating problematic behaviour.
-
Q: Do you have first-aid training?A: I have received accreditation from The Dog First Aid Company: https://thedogfirstaid.co.uk after completing a dog first-aid course.
-

Q: What experience do you have?A: I have over 7 plus years of dog walking in and around Eltham, SE9. I have walked many different breeds of dogs from small to large and feel comfortable with most breeds and ages. I also have a Pug of my own called Alfie. As long as your dog has a basic level of training, is sociable with other dogs and can respond to simple commands, they are welcome to join a group walk. I realise that each dog is different so am happy to work with you on how to walk your dog in the best way possible.
-
Q: What do you do when you come to cat-sit?A: I will feed your cat and clean out any litter trays / refresh the litter tray. I will also spend time with your cat playing and giving them attention. I take my lead from your pet - some cats love to be stroked and cuddled, some prefer to watch you from afar! I will never force your pet into an uncomfortable situation.
-
Q: Whereabouts do you walk?A: I walk in Eltham Park (both Eltham Park North and Eltham Park South). I also walk in Oxleas Woods and in Shrewsbury Park. I try to vary the walks so that dogs are stimulated and energised.
-
Q: Do you let dogs off the lead?A: I will only let dogs off the lead after I have confirmed with the owner that they are happy for this arrangement and I will ask the owner to sign a confirmation stating this. I never walk new dogs off-lead. I would also recommend to owners who are happy for their dog to walk off-lead that they invest in a tracker as even the most responsive dog can be startled or frightened unexpectedly.
-
Q: Do you offer boarding / pet sitting?A: I don't have a licence to board or pet sit in my own home and this a legal requirement for boarders and sitters so I do not board or pet sit in my own home. I am however, happy to visit the owner's home and pet sit if you are out for the day or going out for an evening and wish your pet to have some company.
-
Q: How many dogs do you walk in a group?I walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, ensuring each receives the focused care and attention they need. This allows for swift responses to any situation, thorough clean-up, and constant supervision. Plus, four dogs aligns with the maximum permitted in most Greenwich borough parks.
-
Q: What areas do you cover?I tend to keep my area fairly small so that dogs are not kept in the car for overly long periods of time. I cover Eltham, Shooters Hill and Kidbrooke.
-
Q: Do you work at weekends?I offer dog sitting and cat visits at weekends and bank holidays by prior arrangement and can offer an ad-hoc walk but generally I don't walk at weekends or bank holidays. Please do get in touch if you are looking for a walker for the weekend though as I may be able to help!
