Alfie's introduction to an Eltham dog's life

Hey there! I'm Alfie, the official mascot for Harts and Hounds—basically the canine equivalent of a superhero, minus the cape (because, let’s be honest, capes are a choking hazard). My brother Beck used to rock the mascot life too, but he decided to hang up his paws and leave me to fend for myself. So now, I’m putting on my brave face and trying to help my mum without him. It's like being Batman without Robin—just a little less brooding and a lot more tail wagging!

Sure, I love being a mascot, but let’s face it, I’m getting a bit long in the tooth (not that I’m counting my gray hairs… yet). Running around like a lunatic isn’t quite in my wheelhouse anymore. I try my best to look dapper in photos, striking poses like a canine supermodel. I mean, have you seen my Instagram? #StillGotIt!

I take my role as a canine role model very seriously. I’m basically the Yoda of dog wisdom, ready to pass down my knowledge to the younger pups. I do miss my brother sometimes—he was the Obi-Wan to my Luke. I never told him, but he was my idol! I looked up to him more than I look up to the treats on the kitchen counter. I hope I can make him proud!

So, buckle up, fur-tastic friends! I’ll be sharing my thoughts on living the dog life in Eltham and dishing out tips on how to keep your furry pals happy, healthy, and maybe a little less mischievous (but where’s the fun in that?). Stay tuned for some tail-wagging advice!
